Adé Carrena made major waves in North Carolina, bringing a unique offering of Beninese food to the Raleigh area, through her food truck, Dounou. Born and raised in Benin, but adopted by a Puerto Rican family in the US at the age of 10, she has reconnected with her heritage by sharing food and culture from her native home.

It's a satay or kabob of any meat that we smother with suya spice, a blend of spices with a base of roasted peanuts which add a unique and undeniable flavor to the blend making it authentically West African.
